How long does it take?

Normally 4-6 weeks from the time we receive all of your images until you receive it. It may take longer during the Christmas season. Rush orders will be considered for an additional fee.

How do I get the images to you?

If they are already digitized you can email them to us (one at a time or you can zip and email - it all depends on your bandwidth and what you feel comfortable with). If you have them in hardcopy form (like a regular photograph) you can send them to the address on the website after you have ordered and we will handle digitizing them.

One note - please do not scan and print out your photos and send us the printed, scanned images. We scan them ourselves and a copy of a copy just isn't very crisp and clear.

Will I get my photos back?

Actually, we have a secret room where we keep everyone's old photos and we love to go in there and browse through the images of Aunt Edna and Bosco the dog and other people's families but I suppose we can give yours back.

Seriously, your photos are returned unharmed.

Can I request a fabric or pattern other than what I see on your site?

Of course! The samples on the page are just possible suggestions. You can request other fabrics as long as they are reasonable and we can find them. We use 100% cotton, though. We cannot make quilts from silk, satin, wool, etc.,

Can you edit an image I send you?

Our designer is excellent at editing old disfigured photos and cropping out unwanted distractions. There may be an extra charge for editing beyond the normal amount and these will be decided on a case by case basis.

Will I get a chance to see the design before it's made?

No it's a secret - JUST KIDDING! Our designer will send you a prototype for your approval prior to construction of your quilt.

I want a picture of 'whatever' on my Image Quilt but I don't have it - can I ask your designer to create it for me?

We have over 200,000 images on file and our designers can create more to your specifications. Usually there is no additional charge for this.

The interactive quilt design function doesn't work at all!

Usually this means that your browser is not compatible with the code for the site. The newer versions of Internet Explorer and AOL should have no problems.

I see the colors but I can't see the image when I design my Image Quilt!

Probably a browser compatibility issue - happens in Internet Explorer pre-version 4.0 and older versions of Netscape and AOL. If possible, upgrade to a newer browser or call Liz or send an email and she'll discuss your design ideas with you.

When I select an image for my Image Quilt the background pattern disappears!

This is usually seen in Netscape. I apologize but I have not been able to fix it yet. Just rest assured that when your quilt is made the image you select will appear in front of the fabric your have selected.

I don't see the "continue" button on my screen!

Scroll down the page - it's probably located below the screen you're currently viewing.

I want to print out a copy of my design but when I print it out the colors don't show...

If you're using Internet Explorer you will need to go to the Tools Menu and select Internet Options. Once there select the 'Advanced' tab, scroll down until you find the 'Printing' section and make sure that "Print background colors and images" is checked.
