DON'T BE FOOLED!

When choosing an image quilt it is important to check the details which can vary wildly between different custom quilters. You should specifically look for the following:

  • Are the images imprinted into the fabric?
    Be careful of vendors using iron-ons that can peel and chip over time!
  • What size will the finished product be?
    There are sites on the web selling 'Full Size Quilts' that seem very inexpensive - until you realize that they are about the same size as our lap quilts!
  • How much control do YOU have?
    Do you get to choose from several different fabric swatches specially picked just for you?
    Can you design your own layout or are you limited to only a few standard layouts?
    Do you have the chance to see and approve prototypes before your product is constructed?
  • Will the vendor edit your photos?
    Is the vendor willing to remove splotches, minor tears or rips and crop the image as necessary?
  • Are there hidden charges?
    Are you paying high 'handling charges' that mask the real cost of the product you are purchasing?
